Nice job, Canes.
As a Devils fan I don't feel as bad losing to this team. :P >> Stay informed about: congrats |

It was a great series...one that both teams should be proud of.
It was a lot of fun!

the canes and their fans....i guess another series with Buffalo is what

Yeah - fitting we win Game 7 the same day my 3-year-old daughter took her
first skating lessons, talking the whole time that "I'm going to ice skate,
and I'm going to have a puck and a stick and I'm going to shoot and score!"

Another example for the Buffalo fans.

It was one of the best series I've experienced in my short (six years)
of following Canes hockey. Perhaps the beginning of a beautiful
long-term rivalry with the Sabres? I think so.
Perhaps next season, the Sabres won't price the Hurricanes visit as a
"value game"!
The chest-thumpers in your newsgroup seemed to have faded away over
time, leaving some fun postings by your legitimate posters. The
discussion about the possibility of peeing in the Falls from Goat
Island especially amused me. I've had a good time in here while
accomplishing very little at my job each day.
Best regards from Raleigh!

Peca?
I thought most fans in Buffalo despised Peca now?
As for Ruff, that was total gamesmanship and a motivational ploy for
his team. It's easy to see through, but still his on ice coaching has
been excellent. >> Stay informed about: congrats |

Last I saw a series this good was the 94 ECF between the Rangers and
Devils. Any one think differently?

Just proving the stereotypes of hockey fans in the south one team at a
time. ANd hey, when someone is going to make a fool out of themselves,
you jsut step out of the way. I don't think that person realizes it
yet. :-p

Good luck in the finals.
Don't read too much into Lindy's comments. The Canes players are far from
arrogant. You've got a great team of classy hard working individuals and if
my former favorite Sabre wasn't playing for the Oilers, I'd be pulling for
you guys. >> Stay informed about: congrats |

I think that was just some gamesmanship by Ruff. At first it ticked
me off - when I believed him to his word - but later understood what
he was attempting to do. I still don't endorse that sort of thing,
but understand what he was trying to do nonetheless.

Peca? I'm guessing it's not Roloson since he wasn't around Buffalo
all that long.
I'm glad you see the Hurricanes as such, because that's the way I see
them, and the reason that I've been drawn to hockey. Certainly a team
of NBA-type personalities would not have attracted me to the degree
that I'm now a hockey junkie. I certainly never would've subscribed
to The Hockey News without that love of the team. The good news is
that there's not a whole lot of that type of personality out there.
Most teams have classy, hard-working players and that makes it easy to
be a big fan of the game. >> Stay informed about: congrats |
