.... stop with the Keystone Cops on Ice? 4 white jerseys standing around
saying, "you got the puck? Who's got the puck? You got Semin? Who's got
Semin? Who's got Ovechkin? I dunno!"

So much for the improved defence with Heatley being gone. In 20 minutes
since Redden scored a junker to make it 2-1 I've watched the defence
collapse ... and not in a good way around their goalie to protect. I don't
think it matters who is in goal anymore - this team just can't play defence
unless it's against a team they can get fired up against. The get slamemd by
the Islanders Sunday and now are getting their d**ks handed to them by the
Caps! Even Alfredsson is f**king up passes in the defencive zone! I just
feel like anyone teamed with Redden as a partner is doomed to failure - but
Corvo has been an even more Uh-oh than before since joining forces with the
$6-million muck-up!

I think the key here is when you say "...unless it's against a team they
can get fired up against". The ability is there, the skill is there, the
speed is there, but the collective brains don't seem to line up the way
they should. Very frustrating, especially considering the quality of the
players out there...
