You're still right. When they play that system, they're good. When
they play the system they played last night, they're the worst.

Yeah, it's called the Alexi Yashin Hockey System For Dummies. It
requires using up to but not exceeding 13% of your total energy.
Renney thought he'd give it a shot. He's still tinkering, really.

> They could have used Avery in that one.

They could have used someone who can hit the net when they shoot.

I was talking about this elsewhere, but wouldn't it be nice if the
young guys could start becoming players to build a team around,
instead of just guys who take up space on the ice? Prucha is
nothing. Callahan isn't doing anything. Dubinsky was awful last
night, and though he's been playing well overall, he's still not
really chipping in much offense.

These guys need to cash in on the chances they're given.

I did, of course. No good tradition was ever started by a Devils fan.
Jeez, what kind of closet Rangers fan are you, anyway? I'm *this* close
to Iggying you.

Well, that's three more memorable shots than the Rangers had last night.

Actually, that's not true; they did get a small handful of good
opportunities in the third, when they finally figured out they're
allowed to shoot before the tenth consecutive completed pass.

From now on I'm only going to post very negative comments. Which will be
hard because it goes against my nature.

They played a system last night? Was it a system based around passionless
hockey?

They could have used Avery in that one.

It's really starting to sound like it's *your* fault. Couldn't you have
predicted a 10 game win streak instead?

Worst defense in the league! - Well maybe not statistically. But I'm a realist. This is the not very fun part of the season. *sigh*

Defense - Wow! .....is all I have to say. That was nice to see! I don't think I can ever recall a game where the Rangers scored this many goals in a game where the defense scored them all.

Can Our defense... - knock somebody down!

Defense was better tonight - Another one of those efforts in which you can't really tell if Lundqvist played well, or just benefited from the much better defensive play in front of him. Taking that many penalties was ridiculous, though.

What a great league - Five minute major for hitting a guy.
