If they played every game like last night, their loss total would be
set for the season. >> Stay informed about: They figured it all out |

They played a very solid game, except, inexplicably, in the faceoff
circle. It seemed like Joe played the whole game, since he was
double-shifted, and he was earning his minutes giving hits, taking
hits, and just dominating play. The most exciting part was at the end
when the Sharks had to kill a 5:3 with a couple of minutes left in the
3rd holding a 3-2 lead. Nabby made a great save to preserve the win,
and was generally solid throughout, giving up the customary 2 goals,
of course... >> Stay informed about: They figured it all out |

I would say the most exciting part was hands-down Thornton's
spectacular pass to Marleau, which Marleau buried ricochet-like in the
net from outside the crease. >> Stay informed about: They figured it all out |

Find that clip...words don't do it justice. No look, backhand, cross-ice, in
traffic. >> Stay informed about: They figured it all out |

It was an amazing pass, and gives some insight into his on-ice
presence - the slo-mo reply where he glanced over his shoulder was
just too cool. The long dump in to Milan for the last goal wasn't to
shabby either.
Last night was just the best of what is clearly becoming the "Joe
Show". If he can keep up his current level of intensity, the other
scorers are going to start scoring. The guy is pulling the team
along, which is of course what they got him for! >> Stay informed about: They figured it all out |

It was hard to see on NHL.com, but was that Ehrhoff on the 5-3 kill
yet again? If so, he's becoming the 5-3 specialist, who would have
ever thunk it.
Only other thing I could see from the highlights is that as is so
often the case, Grier is always in the right place and with his good N-
S speed he gets opportunities but rarely finishes them. Not
complaining really, would love to have 1 or 2 more Griers. >> Stay informed about: They figured it all out |

Sensational. Just enough of a glance to make sure he's got a man in
the middle, then goes the wrong way round the defenseman and sticks
the puck right on the stick without a second look. >> Stay informed about: They figured it all out |
