What do you expect of a team with a Mickey Mouse heritage? (To the Ducks'
credit, at least they palmed Fedoruk off to the Philthy Flyers, where he got a
repeat lesson from the Rangers' Colton Orr not long ago. Some things never
change.) I know how you feel, having gotten into the sport with the Aeros in
the WHA...and in that league, they were more into proving that they were
skilled enough to get a look from the NHL. The professional goons (Sasha
Lakovic, anyone?) tend to weed themselves out in short order, but the NHL
needs to get back to paying attention to playing the game. Here's to a dinner
of fried duck tonight. (Texas, in the ECHL, went up 2-1 on Gwinnett last
night, winning 5-4 in overtime, and can clinch the first-round series tomorrow
night.)

Actually the original Mighty Ducks were based in good old Minnesota (at
least per the movie). Of course just like the Lakers, and perhaps
sooner or later the Vikings, California took our team. But wait, Texas
did the same thing to our North Stars.

Not really...that was more the doings of one Norm Greed. (a/k/a the Bud Adams
of the North)
