I believe ih "we" too. I help pay the player's salaries. My
enthusiasm for the team helps promote them. I attend lots of games,
and introduce lots of first timers to the team and sport. I enjoy it,
even through the frustrations.
But let me ask you a question. Does their coach ever get on them?
Well, the fans can too. We can't go in the locker room and let them
know what we think. Know how we can do it? ;-)
Oops....game's on. Hey, Calgary scores on first shot (boo?)....

The difficult part is for the fans to accept that their booing the
team isn't helping, and isn't going to help... >> Stay informed about: A Sacrifice |

Maybe so... but they need to realise that their booing is
counter-productive. >> Stay informed about: A Sacrifice |

You want them to win, right?
I'm not making any value judgements, just stating what to me seems to
be a self-evident fact in any sport: fans booing their own team does
not lead to improved effort or results. >> Stay informed about: A Sacrifice |

Right.
And I'm a subscriber to the use of the word "we" - the fans are part
of the team. So you want them to give their best? Of course you do.
But at the rink, you too should give no less than your best too. >> Stay informed about: A Sacrifice |

Not if the purpose is to express their dissatisfaction to the team and
management.

No, you're not part of the team.
