Seeing as we're playing so poorly - bring up Rocky Thompson and turn this
team into the Chiefs ... heck, MacT could become a player/coach while we're
at it.

Got the email you sent me. Don't know why you'd just respond to me and not
to the forum, but here it is:

Did you hear George in the intermission he more or less said he had to fight
johnson cause of chimeras fight. Kudos to chimera... i think he put out brad
brown in the 1st also... too bad the oilers did not keep hittin the wild
cause it appeared they were ready to fold in the 1st"

Good for you for stooping to personal attacks. Your wit shall precede you
from now on. I wasn't aware you were so sensitive towards other people's
opinions of Chimera. I'll assume that he's a close personal friend of
yours.

Despite your convincing argument, I continue to think Chimera was an idiot
for taking the instigator and the associated 10 min misconduct. Simply
because, he should know that the team's penalty kill is a joke, and being
shorthanded doesn't exactly help the team score.

If Chimera wants to be a "crash and banger" that's great! Drop him onto the
4 line, and let him "play" his 5 minutes a night.

Nothing wrong with what you listed here. However, taking penalties when
your team is not a penalty killing machine is stupid.

I disagree, Bort. Someone had to go after Wiemer for the hit from behind.
You can't let them take liberties like that, next thing you know it's Hemsky
or Smyth eating the boards. Unfortunately, it was Chimera that had to step
in and got his ass handed to him. When George came into the league he would
go with anyone and he made a name for himself as a top ranked fighter. Now
he feels he should only go with other legitimate heavy weights. But this
doesn't put any fear into the other team cause they know George won't go
after them, they're just small fish. Maybe they should bring Rocky Thompson
up for a few games, he's mental. Might send George a message, who knows.

Jovo did the same thing against the Oilers when Isbister hit Linden from
behind, and he got 2,5, and 10 I believe. It just proves that the
instigator rule needs to be turfed, players in the game now will take
liberties against the oppositions players because they know that no one
will come after them right away, and if someone does, he'll be ejected
and your team will get a powerplay. I will agree putting the Oil
shorthanded is a scary thing, but I commend Chimera for standing up for
Horcoff, too bad Curious George won't do it. It sounds like you are
saying that becuase a player stands up for one of his teammates that's a
bad thing? I'd hate to be your teammate.
