The Sharks aren't playing Calgary. I still have full confidence they
will beat the Wings into submission. That is how you react when
someone runs your goalie.

Are you sure you were watching the same game the other night? Detroit
absolutely destroyed them, physically and on the scoreboard. It
wasn't even a match. Iginla got zero shots, and numerous Calgary
players got flattened.

This series won't go more than five games, if that. This is not your
"daddy's Detroit team," anymore.

Let's just see what the Wings feel like on the flight home to Detroit.

Calgary's still hanging around, jyst barely after today's thrashing.

No matter who wins this series, it's hardly a case of Calgary beating
up Detroit and the Wings trying to survive on skill. The Wings are
much more skillful, for sure, and Bertuzzi was a nice addition for the
rough stuff (ask Dion Phaneuf). Whether it goes six or seven, I still
see Detroit prevailing, and I don't think they'll be used up, either.

I have to agree that Calgary hasn't been able to push them around.

OTOH, I hear some of the media, and blogs such as spector saying the
Wings finally have the balance, and more playoff toughness. I still
don't buy it. I agreed with Clement, I think it was, who noted that
the longer these series go on, the Wings age will become a factor.
There are too many key guys who are older and have injury risk. I
would love for the Sharks to face them next round.

I only saw the overtime, but Detroit were scarily dominant.
