The Tribune has in its "One Timers" notes to last night's collapse -

"Ruutu took part in the morning skate Friday, going through all the
drills. Eric Daze was also on the ice but didn't participate in every
drill.... "

So this plays consistent with reports that Ruutu had been pain free and
getting around, though no time table is set yet for him. Heck, Daze
just getting out on the ice is a little encouraging as well.

It would be nice to have them back but the reality is they are still not
ready and we need them to be. Additionally, if and when they do come back,
how much time will they need to get fully acclimated to an NHL game? My
guess is they will be viable and contributing members just about the time we
are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

I had high hopes for this team this year. I actually thought they could grab
a playoff spot. It is time for Wirtz to sell as this franchise has
floundered for far too long under his leadership.

Pat Kane - Hopefully Pat Kane will not make the NHL this year. He is just too small and lacks the defensive skills needed to survive.

Bill Wirtz kicks the bucket - Any chance the Hawks will start allowing televised home games?????

W. Rockwell Wirtz - "Rocky" is already negotiating home games to be broadcast on CSN. Go Rocky... Go Hawk.... lets make it four in a row tonight. Cheers, RPŠ - www.pbase.com/that_rich

The good news - Don't worry, everybody. There is a bright side to all this. Yes, granted the team isn't winning. But I am. :-D Even if I didn't get the six points last night. Have a great day!! peace, Rog

Good News - We haven't seen Drury's best hockey yet. I was starting to get worried. Timmy
