Orr skated right at him with his arms up. You don't need an HD TV or
different angles to see that. The interference call was a big "?", but
Orr *did* skate right at him arms up.
If you want to argue the interference call, feel free. Other then that

I love that in the NHL if you elbow a guy in the face, his team gets a
two minute minor for unsportsmanlike, but if you hit a guy clean, you
get a 5 minute major. >> Stay informed about: What a great league |

You answered your own question, Chief. Watch the replay and watch how
as Orr skates closer to Cullen his arms raise as he does. He hits
Cullen fists extended right in the top of the chest. Oh, and not to
mention he started a beeline for Cullen about 20 feet away.
So amuse yourself by watching the replay. >> Stay informed about: What a great league |

I think your suffering from living in the past as most Rangers fans
do, watching that 1994 boxed set. Must have given you some bravado
judging by that attempt at an insult.
So let me get this straight, according to the view through your blue
glasses, his arms extended out, fists square and hitting him up high
skating toward him from 20 feet away is a *clean* hit? LOL. Let me try
it on you.
He lunged at Cullen arms extended fists square and made contact with
his upper chest or higher. That was the penalty. If Orr's helmet /head
hit him that hard in the head he'd be cut wide open. It *looks* like
Orr's head and Cullen's face meet, but to do the damage *you* think,
Orr would have had to hit him in the face *first* not after the chest
impact.
I'm not saying there is no possible way Orr's face made contact with
Cullen, but that was not what did the damage. The damage was skating
at him from 20 feet, gaining momentum and hitting him fists square up
high in the chest causing his head to snap back and the force of the
contact. Let me try that on you and let's see what happens. Oh, and
the fall afterwards was nothing to take lightly either. >> Stay informed about: What a great league |

Shanny's stick telelported around the ice and drilled Cullen. You
need a super-slow motion HD camera and at least a 52" screen to see
it, otherwise it looks like Orr's head hit Cullen's head. >> Stay informed about: What a great league |

Arms extended out? Where? When? Why do you ask to try out that hit on me,
more than once? I am not playing hockey here, I am watching it. The test
of a penalty in the NHL is whether I would submit myself to the same hit
from a delusional moron? I wouldn't want any of the hits given out in these
games, the clean ones like tonight included.

| Related Topics: | Great third - That period had to be at least a little entertaining for kovy. As moronic as the Orr call was, I'll definitely concede that the penalties that lead to the Rangers 2nd and 3rd goal were pretty bad. Not fabricated in the same way, just incorrect. Neither...
Great timing - So are the Thrashers going to come out steaming for their new coach? I'm sure our incredibly potent offense will be able to hang with them as long as the Thrashers don't score more than 1 goal... but after that, I'd think we might be in trouble.
Rangers were great - In Garbage time that is. Only seen the last period. Was Lundqvist weak tonight? Not that he has been the major problem so far but it seems most every goal against him this year has been top shelf. That certainly is his weakness.
Great Game!! - Sometimes this team puts crazy ideas in my head. Screw the gimmick shootout, I would have been satisfied with a tie. The boys are playing good hockey. Timmy
Best defense in the league! - Can't argue with stats. Through 26 games the Rangers have a league low 1.88 GAA. San Jose is 2nd with 2.08. A league low 51 goals surrendered. They are tied for 4th in the league in PK as they have dropped off a bit lately. Lundqvist is second in the.... |
