Hi,

I would like to know what happened to the London Knights and how come
they are not playing in the Elite league this year? Does anyone know
why? is the london racers simply and revamped london knights team?

Basic answer is that their rink closed to be redeveloped and they had
nowhere to play. The Dome is supposedly going to have an ice pad
installed and they will play from there at some point in the future. The
Racers are just a rather fanciful stop-gap and nothing to do with the
Knights. Others may know better but I can't see them being back next
season. Their crowds look woeful and rink options limited at the moment.

Interesting this subject came up actually, as we were in Decathlon
yesterday in Stockport and noticed they had 4 or 5 Knights shirts for
sale! No prices on them but I can't see much demand in Greater
Manchester for them.... No other strips on offer but I believe they were
sponsored by Decathlon for one season which probably explains it.

Its a shame the capital cant have a decent team, in a decent rink, it would
be good for the sport have at least one! there must be a reasonable rink
somewhere in London. The Knights didn't have a bad attendance record.
Gotta feel sorry for the racers tough season.
