The Wild have been in and out of first in the Northwest a few
times this season. I have a feeling they'll be doing that a
few more times before the long season is over. The Northwest
just isn't that strong anymore, and it's anyone's division this
season. If the Wild get healthy and come back strong,
it just might be theirs for the taking.
On the positive side, the injuries and absences of the
veterans has given the young guys a chance to shine
and improve their games. Sheppard, Foy and Voros
have all looked pretty good at times. And Moore hasn't
been to shabby either. The Wild have quite a few decent
up and coming players, IMO.
And it's nice to see Gabby playing well again. Gaborik has
scored seven goals in his last eight games. Nice.
It also looks like Backstrom is finally getting healthy again
as well (40 saves against the Predators on Saturday!).
Should be a win for the Wild tonight against Phoenix. And
they'll need it with Philly, Detroit and Vancouver on the
schedule over the next few nights....it's not getting any
easier than tonight for a while.
Go Wild!!!
