Thought sure I'd seen you type it once or twice. I know you don't like
to use nicknames for players. For the most part, I am too lazy to try to
spell Lappy's real name correctly. With JoeTed, it just sounds
ridiculous. Like how black people shorten peoples' names... JLo, BRob,
TStew, etc.

I don't like a lot of the nicknames, that's true. And I don't like
the way hockey players add a 'ey' at the end of every nickname. When
I read that someone on the Avs referred to Wolski as 'Wollsey' earlier
this year, that was a bit too much for me. In lieu of nicknames, I
find it easier to simply refer to initials - PF, FG, Q, etc.

I don't like to refer to players by the nicknames that their teammates
call them. The people who call Rob Blake "Blakey" earned that right by
being good enough to play on the same team with him.

The only exception I make, off the top of my head, is Lappy and that's
because it's a pain in the ass to type out his name, as I said.

I like to refer to "Q" by the clinical term for someone like him -
Idiot. FG, not quite sure yet. He's an idiot too, but he actually
*looks* dumb as well. I am sure there's a good nickname for him out
there somewhere. I just have to figure it out.

And when I post it, I am sure NutJob will whine about it.

Nope. I'd like to know how Colorado has suddenly become set in goal
for years to come? All you've got in goal is a rookie who is playing
well of late. IIRC you were saying the same thing after the Theodore
trade.

There's nothing sudden about it. It happened over the course of the season.

We've got a young goalie who has been playing like a #1 most of the
season, and a backup who has won a Vezina who has picked up his game as
of late. The backup is irrelevant - I like having JoeTed there because
if Budaj were to get hurt, we'd have a guy there who had been a league
MVP to step in for him. And if he ever regains his confidence, he could
push Budaj to the top of the league. But if not, there are tons of
capable backups out there. The important thing is that we have our #1.

We're set in goal.

perhaps the "goal" all along was to get the best tee time and we just
