Post subject: We didn't lose so bad
Archived from groups: rec>sport>hockey>field (more info?)

Hi all,

My daughter's high school field hockey team (the worst in the state, 0 wins,
1 score all season) played the state champions and only lost by 8 points.
The parents of the state champ team couldn't understand why we were so
happy, tears of joy and whooping it up like crazy. Loosing by only 8 points
was one of our best games yet and this was to the state champs.

Just an aside for Americans... I was also cheering for the state champs as
they are an AWESOME team. Their best player will more than likely be on the
next Olympic team. Keep your ears open for Heather Winn. She is already on
the Futures A league, (the Olympic pool) and from what I hear, has been
recruited by the best FH college teams in the US. It is a pleasure to watch
her, the girl has it all, including an incredible style. Locally, she is
known as "the beast". My daughter was selected to "mark" or guard her
during the game mentioned, helping the loss to be only 8-0 instead if the
average bet of 16-0.

I am making a separate post to ask your opinions of a camp I want to send
some of the kids on my daughters team to and the selection process. Just
had to share this news!
