| Flyers sign Danny Markov. Then, just get rid of Hatcher and/or Gauthier for
peanuts. He can do both of their jobs better than they can, possibly at
once. There's no defenseman in the league (other than the big three) that
I'd rather have.

And even if the Flyers wanted to sign Markov, it wouldn't be possible
to trade Gauthier and/or Hatcher for peanuts. Two years left on pricey
deals each. Throw in a few draft picks and you might find a taker. But
the Flyers aren't getting rid of those contracts easily.

Surely the Flyers must have ties to the mob that can handle these kinds of
things. Just saying...

I think the mob owns about 70% of the team at this point. Speaking of
which, what do you think they did with Rathje? Delaware river and
some cement?

As long as the take care of it, one river's as good as the next.
Speaking of rivers, was it you who suggested White water rafting in the
Poconos? If so thanks it was a blast! Did that last week and I would
highly recommend it for a family fun filled day. We did the Lehigh river
(I think) It turned into a 4 hour water fight mostly dodging/getting humg
on hidden rocks with the occasional white water. However, the slow
moving water made for a great family to family water battle ground. I
will never take my family out on one of thoses things again without
arming them adequately with the state-of-art super soakers to properly
engage the enemy. As the captain, since my crew was not armed, it was my
job to get out of the boat, armed with just a bucket, and swim over to
enemy boats to engage heavily armed supersoaker cannons......very
effective method to ovewhelm and silence armed boats, expecially if you
target their captains (parents) that don't want to get drenched/bail
their boats out. Arrrrrr.
Incidentally, I didn't find any floating Flyers, dead or alive, in the
Lehigh.

Heh. That's exactly what the trip is all aboot. Water fights all
throughout the journey. The best was stealthing it under water,
coming up behind some unsuspecting paddler, and yanking them backwards
into the river. "Yulp-!" *splash*

I think they've mostly been using the Susquehanna.

that COULD happen
Markov was let go because of a conflict he had with Ken Hitchcock
