I was at the game last night and I find this to be so perplexing. He had on
offensively overachieving first season with the Rangers with bouts of
abysmal defense. A horrific follow up year with the worst defense played by
a human being ever. Followed by a very respectable year where he wasn't too
bad in his own zone at all. And was part of a good team defense that got the
team into the playoffs for the first time in 73 years(at least that's how I
recall it). Also, he's a real good guy. Completely non abrasive and always
say the right things.

OK, now how does that qualify him being booed every time he touches the puck
2 seasons later? I understood the booing when he was playing for the Rangers
and scoring 30+ own goals per season. But now? I think it's completely
pathetic to harbor this resentment for a guy like Poti. It's shows very
little self respect or character IMHO.

Unless they were saying Boo-erns. In which case you may disregard this post.

PS- Poti was really awesome last night.

Oh yeah? If he was so awesome he would have scored an own-goal.

They we're actually saying "Poooooti". And sometimes just "Poo", which
is both a shortened version of Poooooti and a description of his play
for the PG crowd.

How was that any different.... - How was that waved-off goal in Buffalo any different than the one in game 1 against the Rangers? Why did that one count, and this one didn't? By the way, VS. is absolutely terrible. Joe Beninati? Why don't they just get Rick Jeanerette or some other....

Scary good - More "scary" than "good".

Teeeeee-mu Selanne! - And Hockey Town is stunned. Woooo-Hooo!!

Team +/- leader? - NY Rangers website lists top plus/minus player for 06-07 season was ... Marek Malik??? How the hell is that possible? Is it simply that he played most often with the top scoring line. Hopefully those in charge will look beyond the stat ... PLEASE?
