Shit, i think it's kinda lenient. I love good hard hitting and fighting.
But there's no place in the game for what he did. Think the Flyers will
keep him after Stevens and Holmgren basically said it was a horrible thing
to do?

I don't have a problem with it. Unlike Downie's hit, this was a stick
infraction. I agree here 100% -- as long as the new guy who does this
gets 25 games instead of the little wirsts slaps of years past, I'll
be content with it.

He should have been out for the season and Bertuzzi should have had
his career ended.

The league said it was going to take action regarding shots to the head and
I think it's a good thing. Especially the flagrant type. Unfortunately,
the Flyers got the brunt of the new enforcement with two recent infractions

I just hope that the league is consistent.

I don't see it as any worse than the Downie hit so I was figuring another 20
games but I think Boulerice's past history is coming into play. Fair enough
term, I just hope the League is consistent for the rest of the season and
beyond.

I don't even agree with having him on the team.

I believe that will depend on which team the "new guy" plays for.

Usually If the player gets up and is relatively ok, it shouldn't, but it
usually makes a difference how long the suspension is. If Moore had of
got up after Bertuzzi hit him and skated to the bench, it would have
been a 2 minute minor, after all it was just a punch in the head. It
was the severity of the injury that got Bertuzzi the harsh sentence.
Using that theory, 25 games seems a little lengthy . In this case
Kesler seemed like he was ok. If they are cracking down, 25 games is
fair, as long as they're consistent, and players like Crosby gets the
same. Boulerice won't be missed, and you're right, it doesn't belong
in the game. I don't know how old you are, but do you remember the
Wayne Maki Ted Green incident. It's been around a long time....Did you
hear that Boulerice called Kesler after the game and apologised. Kesler
thought that was.... quote "a ballsy thing to do"
