I know they're frauds, but it was still a pretty great game on their
part. The Flyers tried to start physical and rattle Valiquette, but
the Rangers held steady all game long.
The first line was invisible, but for one of those rare times this
season, the rest of the team picked up the slack. I think it's clear
that they should keep Straka away from Jagr. It's like a dependent
and codependent substance-abuse problem. They feel better when
they're together, but it's much healthier to keep them apart. I don't
think Avery is the answer up there, either, but I think he's a better
fit than Straka.
Why Renney decided to play with only 12 skaters confuses me, but then
again my body isn't powered by 4 D-Cell batteries and a removable
solar panel. If Hossa is truly going to end up on IR, then it's time
to bring Callahan back up. He's been pretty hot in the AHL, which we
all know means instant success in the NHL.
Anyway, I can easily forget their dreadful record and inconsistency if
they can dominate and shutout a division opponent. Especially one
from Philadelphia. But especially one from New Jersey. BUT
ESPECIALLY one from Long Island.
I also hate the Penguins. You can check out my blog at
